    Angry Corsa Mirror Glass Removal

    Hi all,

Sorry this isn't a Vectra related question!

Some little blighter has kicked my girlfriends mirror off.

I have managed to fix it and put the connect the heater wires up and put the (cracked) glass back in for now. When I locate a new piece of glass that is heater/electric compatible, how do I go about removing the existing broken glass and refitting the new piece properly so that it it will move & heat electronically?

    Any help would be appreciated.
    James

not sure if its the same as the vectra-c but the mirror is mounted onto a clip on the electric motor.. you should be able to gently tilt the mirror glass down and with your fingers gently prise it away from the motor... the new one you line up centrally with the motor and gently push it on.. It should clip into place.

unfortunatly with the corsa c mirrors a little brute force and ignorance is best if you tippy toe and fumble you will bost it be firm and it will work, lube the 3 little popers before fitting ...fit the middle one first then the two others .....these are the hard ones you need to push with 2 fingers and wiggle slightly at the same time .hope this helps benny

Yeah, I managed to remove the mirror a while ago and it took some force to get the old glass off, It takes a serious yank to get it off and it takes some pressure to push it back in.

No Gentle about it - but not so brutish you crack it again - even pressure is the key!
