Do you take notice of the 30 miles left message?

Wow, that was a long title.

So far we have been filling up the Sig when it says theres 30 miles left, but considering that I left Tamworth yesterday with 75 miles left, and got back home with it saying I've got 50 miles left (after a 66 mile journey), just how accurate is the warning message?

Is there a regular fuel light on the Sig/Vec??

When I did fill up yesterday the instant MPG said there was 25 miles left to go, yet I only needed 45litres to fill the car up!

I'd rely more on the actual petrol gauge itself. My BC often goes down to 0 miles, but the needle is still in the red and the light not flashing!

I always fill mine up when it gets to half full as it seems to go down quicker when it gets past half for some reason (maybe its just me

)

The range is a projected mileage at your current driving style. Cane the car and watch it drop like a stone.

I always rely on the actual fuel gauge rather then the range on the computer.

when the 30 mile reading comes up thats when i grovel to our lass for petrol money.

takes a day and half by then im on red so for me its a good indicator.

30 miles left, I dont pay attention to it, as thats still 1/2 a tank for me

Thanks for the replies. TBH I wasn't sure whether there was a petrol light or not and didn't want to risk running out of diesel as the O/H would go nuts!

How many miles have people done with the fuel light on? All my other cars (MG, Hyundai Coupe) did about 30.
