    Question GSi backbox removal?

    Is it an easy or nightmare job to remove the back boxes on my GSi?

    easy..

    just undo the clamps, remove the hanging rubbers, and gentle screw the box back and forth while pulling it to get it off the centre pipe section.. it joins by the rear wheels..

    if it's tight, then just drive it off with a cold chisel under the joint to split the rust..

    nice one mate, are the clamps that hold the rubbers on torx bolted or they like the old vec B clipped on?

    they just push on, over buttons...a bit of WD40 will help them slide back up over the step... no bolts whatsoever

    one of the offside may have a clip that holds the rubber on..
