Metal cover touches the brake disc causing noise.

Could be the bearing for the driveshaft assy. Unless your right driveshaft is longer than the left. Then you dont have a driveshaft assy..

Interesting. Where abouts is that located? Passenger shaft goes straight to diff.
Iirc on the vectra b's, there was a bracket on the drivers side with a bearing that the shaft ran through. Is this what you mean?

It could be anything one time I had this on the front and it was the brake calliper clip that had come loose and was rubbing on the wheel rim. Jack the car up at the front put it in second and turn while the wheel rotates with the tyres on. All I can think of is something rubbing off the wheel somewhere or the disc. Sometimes things get stuck in the disc guards or a bit brakes off with rust. Try isolate what side it is and if you can't see anything remove the disc and have a look.

Hi just looking for something else, but got interested whilst reading. Possibly nsf wheel bearing, as you turn right it's putting pressure on the bearing and so making a noise, turning left there is less pressure on it (weight of the car cornering ) so reduces the noise. Same with rotating it whilst the weight of the cars not on it........ No noise. Hope this helps.
