My insurance is due on the 12-12-05 ... i'm 21 and insurance company’s usually sting me BIG TIME... (Suppose it’s down to my choice of cars )


I'm currently insured with admiral/elephant... I'm expecting a renewal of about £900 shocking isn’t it... so has anybody got any recommendations?

I’ve had a few quotes lol, some come back with 3k LMFAO how they come up with that figure god only knows. How can insurance vary sooo much £900 up to 3k!!??

i got in touch with norwich union direct, when i got my 3.2 v6 elite i was very pleased.

I was 26 when I insured my 1.9 CDTi. My first car I have owned, no previous personal car insurance, all previous company cars and insurance since I was 21, 6 points on my licence

All the usual firms, churchill, directline etc. were quoting me £1300 plus, even Endsleigh the people that will insure any person with a student union card wouldn't offer a price.

Then for a laugh I tried the AA, knowing their previous reputation I expected a stupidly high quote.

To my surprise, £960. I went back to all the others told them they had been undercut by the AA, and they couldn't match it.

Just had my renewal quote for my 2.0t... 26 years old, 5 yrs no claims, 1 Accident and No points £451... might be able to get it cheaper by shopping around.

I just got my renewal in and they want £362.............and I also am..........older............although not so much a git though eh

Anyways I hit the net ans got that down to £150 through Swiftcover via money supermarket.........just like confused.com.

Also my son's insurance dropped £1700, and yes that's dropped £1700, with Bell Direct.

i will never understand car insurance.
my wife passed her test in 1991...............in latvia..
i expected to have to pay a fortune as she has only been driving in this country since she had my old vectr b in march...
but they only charged me £ 270 they called it a mirror policy. as i would have paid the same in my name... she has no no claims bonus as she has only been driving for seven months,,,,,but if she doe,s not make a claim in the first twelve months then she will get the full no claims bonus that i am entiteled to as she is my wife..
i am not complaining but it sounds to good to be true..
