    Default temp gauge

    how far do you drive before your temperature gauge starts to move? i
    have a facelift veccy sri 150 and i go approx 8 miles before any movement at all, im sure my last veccy didnt take this long.

    the CDTi does take an age to warm up..My dads takes about that far as well....

    the petrols heat up quite a bit quicker.

    Mine starts to give a bit of heat from the heater after a couple of miles but i can get to town (5 miles) and the gauge will have barely moved.

    3-4miles for mine. i know exactly whereabouts i am on the way to work when it starts to move

    Mine takes a while too. I was lead to believe that its because the diesel block is a lot thicker and absorbs more heat before it warms the water up.

    holding it at 4000rpm till it warms up normally helps me

    Similar here, around 3-4 miles. Warms up pretty quick when I get up to speed on the motorway, a bit longer on other roads.

    About 7 to 8 miles for me too or about 15 minutes before the needle moves.
