    confused Any Autoelectricians Here?

im having trouble fitting an aftermarket headunit.
ive bought the vx fascia kit and have a brand new blaupunkt memphis mp66 headunit.
ive wired the wiring adaptor up correctly and checked all fuses.
But, the blaupunkt wont power up?
But, when i plug the original vx unit into the wiring adaptor it works!
Ive also tried my m8's aftermarket headunit in my car, but no power to that either??

    Strange....HELP!!!

    Question

Have you def got an ignition feed to it (red wire to new stereo)? As a lot of newer vectra's dont have one due to stereo operating off can bus signals!

Yeah but the VX headunit wouldnt need a Ignition to it.

Basically all you need is a perm 12v on the yellow, ign on the red and the earth on the black. Just those should make the unit power up.

ive looked at the blaupunkt headunit booklet and plugged the yellow into the correct block number.
yellow is for power (even thought the little sticker on it says 'ignition')
    correct?

Blaupunkt may be different but 99% of stereos have perm live on the yellow. A bit irrelivant at this stage coz as long as you have live on the 2 it should power up. Have you tried powering the unit off the battery with a few odd bits of wire just to see if it lights up, just in case its faulty?

2002 SRi should be on ISO, my one is & it does have an ignition live to the radio. Should just be a plug in job.
