    Default Big Brake Upgrade

    Just had a thought......doesn't happen very often!

    The 314mm calipers apparently just bolt straight on where the others come off, right?

    If that's the case, where does the extra room come from to accommodate the extra 30mm or so of disc diameter? Is it purely in the caliper design?

    it's the difference in the caliper and caliper carrier design..gives it the extra room..

    they just use the same hole centres and bolt pitch..thats all..

    Cool. Cheers, that's one niggling thing put to rest. Now, about the camber on the rear wheels following lowering....

    I know Selv1980 is having a mare with this, has anyone else had any problems or not?

    nope... you just need a top quality laserlining rig and a bloke who knows how to use it..

    OK - take it as read that the most I can do to a car is change a wheel....

    Is that rig something most garages would have?

    not really....it's mainly found in 'performance' tyre centres, not the likes of kwik fit or national tyres.. it costs too much for them to install..
