it's actually down the BACK of the engine, about 1/2 way down, sticking out on an alloy casting..black plastic cap with a 32mm hexagon on top of it.

has a little silver spout sticking out the side of the housing...

when you unscrew the black cap, the top half of the housing comes away.. you can see it physically turning as you do it.. Mind out for the little spout cause once you undo it a little way oil comes through it.. Let it drain for about 5 mins or so otherwise you'll get soaked lol..

Not that i did it tonight wheni got home from work, and not that i got soaked neither (need a shower)

Finished my oil change today.. now i got the right filter. Not a bad job once u done it once.. Oh and when you come to tighten it up, there not much room underneath with a 1/2 ratchet and 32mm socket. i put it on the nut and then climbed onto the engine and stretched down the back of the engine. much more grip on it.

There's a How 2 in the How 2 section that I did a while back. It's 2.0T specific (in terms of parts and location) but the principle is exactly the same).

Ref your flexi servicing, are you doing this as an additional change to your service schedule? If so, then you don't need to do anything, or worry about anything, regarding the service reset. If this is a scheduled oil/filter change then you'll want to reset the service indicator. It's mentioned in other threads - I can't recall it off the top of mu head.
