    Default Power Klick Tuning Box

Fitted this to my V6 CDTI this morning, now been out for a few hours test driving and got to say I'm very impressed not to say amazed how a little box of electronics can make a car feel so different.

Couple of questions though, the adjustment for power, how much difference does this tend to make and what would be the disadvantage of been turned full on all the time? and this may relate to the first question, the engine seems a little bit lumpy at tick over, but this goes as soon as you touch the gas.

May have found a small disadvanatge with having the box turned right up, my car is an auto and it seems to the hit the rev limiter very quickly when the right foot goes hard down.

yep mine does that...then blows out a nice smoke screen if you hit about 4200 rpm took me a while to get used to it.. its all in the foot movement! if you get the timing right with yer foot the car goes like a rocket. Outside temp also seems makes a difference on performance.

This seems to be a problem on the V6 (depending on what box and map you are using). The power is available, but it seems to be made lower down in the rev range than standard, and runs out of puff quite early.Hence the need to change up early.I too have the PowerKlick 'Red' box (but as yet no loom-lost in post ).

As Brucey said its all about the timing, maybe more so with an auto, but the more you get used to it the better it gets, hope you get your loom soon.

Thanks to some excellent detective work by "The Doc" the loom is now on its way.

I'm hoping for a smoother performance from the digital box.The profile loaded is just the standard "German" one.But by all accounts it's still pretty good.

PowerKlick say that I should get an easy 215 bhp and 340 ft/lbs of torque with the CRD Red.It feels like it too.

Turned it up to +2 today, but it felt a little bit laboured and there was black smoke, which I've never seen before.+1 wasn't a real improvement either,so back down to 0 it goes.

Had box at +1 for a while, but unseasonal temperatures (23 degrees) I think may have contributed to going into limp mode.Pulled over straight away and adjusted box down a notch.Right as rain now,so will leave it there.
