Problems already! No power in 1st/2nd

Hmmm already got a problem with my 2.0T the spanner light came on and noticed no power when pulling away it really struggles in 1st and 2nd seems to pick up in 3rd. Can't hear any boost. Not sure what it could be any pointers on what this could be. I've got an old fault reader elm327 which plugs into a laptop not sure it will work with the car not tried it yet. Any help much appreciated.

car is a 55 plate signum 2.0T

Ok cheers will try that as we'll the light has gone now but I'm sure it will return when I drive it. Also is the obd connector that is under the ashtray a different kind as I thought they were all standard. Mine didn't fit.

So pulled these codes:

2135- throttle position sensor?

1682 - no idea what this one is

any ideas could this be the accelerator pedal issue?

on my 2005 2.0T it was the throttle pedal that was causing that symptom but it sorted itself out after a few days while i was waiting for a spare to arrive, I did not fit the spare in the end, its still on my shelf... I am not saying thats defo your solution but its a cheapenough start so long as you have cleaned out your throttle body and checked your boost solenoids..


the second code may indicate an impending alternator failure

Cheers. Also the plug under the ashtray looks completely different to a normal obd port I will get a pic up. Am I missing something here?

See the attached image looks nothing like an obd connection. Is there another adapter type thing that's not there?
