    Default How much??!!!!!!!

    the stealers yesterday to find out how much they would charge to remove my steel wheels and balance and fit the new ones.

    Should have sat down first............................

    pick up your new wheels take them to a tyre company get them balanced and fitted to your car for around £10 per tyre.

    errm....

    you need your local freindly tyre dealers mate.. they'd love to do this for you...
    not really what your dealer wants to get involved in.. and their labour rate is far higher than the tyre dealers..

    Local tyre place is doing it for £26 Mark which is the price of balancing four tyres.

    Steve,

    IIRC your in Chester?

    It's not very local but Frank Bathers in Birkenhead are renown on the Wirral for good service. I contatced my local garage that my family have used for 25 years and they wouldn't touch my alloys as they didn't want to damage them so they sent me to Bathers as they take good care. No pneumatic hammers and the like all by hande and so on.

    Cheers Mate I'll give them a ring tomorrow. Sounds like they may take a bit more care than the place local to me.

    OMG! i was charged £7.50 per wheel, which includes fitting a new tyre, balancing, disposal of the old tyre.

    Some people really take the P1$$

    yeah it arrived yesterday but didnt get the chance to get down there, put the spare in the boot, although it doesnt seems to fit correctly, the mat is raised slightly.

    Anything bigger than the space saver will do this mate, even 16" steelies will raise the mat a fraction.
