    Default Megs Scratch-x

Having seen the number of scrathes caused by fuel hoses, air hoses and jet washes grow I bought myself some of the above. As with all megs kit, it assumes you know what you're doing and only gives basic instruction.

So over to our resident experts.......Whats the best way to use this stuff?

    Hi Brocks,

You can apply Sratch-X by hand.......simply put a small amout on an applicator pad and with firm pressure work it in till it goes all but clear, concentrate on small areas about 12 to 15 inces square at a time.......it does work but it will take a while

    Bryan

PS just incase you're wondering I only mention hand application because it's supposed to be applied by hand and it's no good by machine!!

I'm working on individual scratches. I can count each one but htey stick out like a sore thumb.

Once its rubbed in, I take it I just buff it off again.

OK Brocks so it's individual scratches rite here's what you do: -

Put a small amount onto a MF and rub it ACROSS each side of the scratch with firm pressure.........when I say across I mean that you're not removing the scratch just making it less obvious i.e. washing away the edges of the scratch so that it "blends" more with the paint, this will only take a few seconds on each scratch

I'm also considering this due to light key scratches around the driver door handle !

I used the paint cleaner step one around my door handles an it brought them up a dream. Know where Brocks is coming from I use the jet wash to rinse of the light **** an it tends to scratch the pillars, an tops of the wings, constantly masking the trauma! Look forward to seeing how you get on with it then I might push the overdraft and get a tub or two!!
