I havent tried it, but I have read a few other threads on the site and it seems that NO is the answer.
Something to do with the wiring on the facelift. The blue plug is there but it doesnt do anything!
I am sure that if that is the wrong answer then someone will let you/me know!
Been reading the old user manual.. and took the car out for a little test the other day when wet.. if i floor it i get the warning sign with wigglely bit up to show some form of TC.... now i'm confused coz fishy gets the same if he does it.. so there is some form of TC.. totally stumped now
There was a thread somewhere else on this (TC on the facelift) and people were saying that the facelift doesn't have TC - even though the brochure said it did!
I'm now confused as well Ade! I gave the above info on what I'd read from some facelift owners. I'll go back in the corner and let them pop in a reply now!
D
So whats all that mean then lolQuote from manual
Electronic Stability Program (ESP)
ESP improves driving stability when necessary in any driving situation regardless of the type of road surface or tyre grip. It also prevents the driving wheels from spinning.
The system monitors vehicle movements. AS soon as the vehicle starts to swerve (understeer/oversteers) engine output is reduced (the sound of the engine changes) and individual wheels are specifically braked. This considerably improves the driving stability of the vehicle on snow and ice and on wet or slippery road surfaces.
ESP is ready for operation as soon as the ignition is switched on and control indicator (this is the warning triangle with car and wiggley line) goes out.
Control indicator flashes when ESP is in action.
As I understand it, the facelift vec will only have ESP if you have the sport button, which as I understand it means you will also have the TC button.
Again I am prepared to be corrected!!
Thanks for the info.. will go and speak to one of the Vx gurus and see if they can shed light on it for us...... seems strange they would remove TC from the range as its been on the B's and early C's.... my heads in melt down........ god i love Vx lol
each car should come with a list.. saying you have the following lol
only found the variable wiper speeds by accident lol
Is it an early facelift, perhaps the first few had TC fitted ??
