Which model ? s40/60/80 ?
I looked at an S80 fully loaded with everything you can think off besides sat nav. It was only 8k from a volvo dealer which full history and under 40k miles
I was a bit surprised that the s80 min boot space is 60litres smaller than the vectra hatch min space, interior space though is massive !
the D5 engine is cracking - I love volvos and would have one in a sec if i could afford....costly servicing and parts are the main downside......
the other good engines are the T models...especially the T5 which comes in the Fraud Crocus ST, which is a swift lump!!! (also comes in the new vovlo C30)
I had a volvo 850 20valve GLT a few years ago, it was a cracking car and went quite quickly considering it looked like a brick LMAO They don't show wear at all, it was 8 years old with 140k on the clock.
You can pick up an 850 T5 now for about 4 grand
Me old man had an 850 T5R - it went like wholy moly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had to get rid, too thirsty and insurance group 18 or 19.....he's got a V70 T5 now and it is quality!!!
I'd love an 850R in red, lowered on grey rims. They look the business !
strange, my dad had a V70 too LOL. It was a 2.4 though, not a T5

mate has an S60, and it's looovlay.
Well ... One thing for sure ... The S60 aint got the space of the Vectra.
So if space is an issue, you will need to find something else ....
The S60's are really nice, but for me it would have to be the current facelifted one. Some of the 51plate 'ish ones are looking a bit dates IMHO
