I'd check that price if I was you! The only price I saw was the 'approximately €700' mentioned on the www.bsruk.co.uk/ppc.htm page. I have a sneaking feeling that VAT isn't included in that price.

On the Swedish BSR site it works out as €685 + 25% VAT (Sweden for you!!) making a total of €913. A good reason for not buying from BSR Sweden as you get hammered for the higher VAT rate. That makes me think the €700 on the UK site isn't going to include VAT at 17.5%.

€700 converted to £ at €1.44/£ = £486. I can't BSR charging that when other distributors/dealers (such as www.partsforsaabs.com) are charging around £560. If you add 17.5% to the £486 BSR price, it comes out to £571 - in the same sort of ballpark.

Maybe worth giving them a ring?

It was +VAT then, as I thought! Still a good price though, considering partsforsaabs is £560.

2ltrT - did you buy one??

Seeing all these CDTi owners getting their Tunit boxes and Diagnostix kit, I'm feeling a little inferior with my 175bhp .... just wondering if its worth trying to set up some kind of group buy?

If he hasn't, then he's more than welcome to have a spin in mine at Trax to see what a difference it makes. You too Jamie if you are coming?

Worth a try. I got mine from partsforsaabs. I'll give them a call now and see if they would do anything. According to the engine poll thread, we have at least 9 owners with that engine (but likely more with people who haven't voted) so it may be enticing enough to get a discount.

I'll give them a call now. Being a past buyer and admin here may help!

Spoken to Simon at partsforsaabs. Have a look in the Approved Traders section to see the details.

Just to give you some links regarding ECU upgrades etc for the 2.0t 175bhp.

    1. www.bsruk.co.uk (175 > 204bhp £560)
    2. www.abbottracing.com (175 > 210bhp £640)
    3. www.maptun.com (175 > 205bhp £585)
    3. www.hirsch-performance.ch (175 > 195bhp £699-£850 at a Saab dealer)

The PPC unit from BSr seems to be the fave with Saab owners, cos it been about the longest and can be removed by them who are worried about dealers finding out. Abbott racing is a long standing Saab tuner and are very nice people to deal with, and their upgrade (replacement ECU) has very good reports (they also warranty the drive train!). Maptun, well dont know anyone outside of Sweden that has upgraded with them but good rep on the older models.
Lastly, Hirsch are Saab UK approved and quite a lot of peolple are going down this route. Prices range from £699 to £850 - the power doesnt seem alot but the driveability change is said to be amazing. these guys are ex. Saab techs and have access to the original T8 maps - so safe as houses really. Oh and i bet they have a demo at your local Saab dealer to try as it seems since all the dealers have had the tuning hardware - they're tuning everthing that they can.

You'll see the Companies and Discounts section on the home page. This will take you there as well.

What made you think we were getting 15% off the units?

BTW, that offer is for Vectra C/Signum owners only - not Saab owners!! Cheeky!
