Default Milage covered with BSR remaps?

I have just purchased a 2.0T and its a superb car, sooo smooth and deceivingly quick It would be rude not to start thinking about the BSR upgrade (stage 1) but im wondering what kind of milage people have covered once BSR'd and any issues came about from higher milage??

I think Duncan does a few miles Steven. No doubt he will be a good judge of how it is behaving.

P.S. How is the 2.0T compared to the 1.9CDTi m8

I was thinking Duncan may be the best person to ask

Very smooth Tony, to the point where you really need to keep an eye on the speedo. My wife drove back from Glasgow today and at one point i looked at the speedo and it was nudging 100 and it felt like 70. It doesnt have the same kick in the back as the CDTi but it does sound very nice when giving it the beans On another note, we have covered 250 miles since yesterday and its averaging nearly 35MPG which is way above what i thought it would be

I bought my BSR in Feb 2005 with just under 19,000 miles on the clock. I've now done just over 50,000 miles - so that's just over 30,000 miles covered with it.

Hasn't skipped a beat or given me any issues whatsoever. I can't really add much more than that - other than it still after two years brings a huge grin to my face when I give it some.

Only this evening I had some twit in a Hyundai Coupe try it on on a local dual carriageway. I'd already left him behind coming off the last roundabout, so he thought he'd try and be smart. The next roundabout was a 9 o'clock exit (two lanes) so he thought he'd be smart and approach this one on the outside lane (whilst I was on the inside lane) to then exit off the roundabout onto the outside lane of the next stretch (not what you're supposed to do!). Anyway, I sussed he was doing this and left him absolutely dead in the water and waaaaaay back in my rear-view mirror!!

I don't know if he had the 2.0 (141bhp) or 2.7 V6 (165bhp - yep, that figure is correct!) but either way he was onto a hiding! He probably thought being smaller and lighter he was going to be oh so much quicker, and assumed that this big car wasn't any match for him. Oh, how wrong he was!!!!

So, still bringing big grins to my face!

That's what is soooo deceptive about the 2.0T (and any other turbo petrol). It may not give you that initial kick in the back like a turbo diesel, but it just keeps pulling and pulling while the turbo diesel you quickly 'run out of steam' and have to be changing sooner.
