'04 Club 2.0 DTI Coming along!

Picked up my 4 door '04 plate Vectra 2.0 DTI on 31/1/14 (58,600 Miles) and have been loving it ever since!
Having become addictied to this forum getting idea's on what to do to personalise her, I have made a few minor starts.
So far I have done:
T/C button fitted (only lights up at the moment, no function, yet)
Rear Tweeters fitted
Chrome surround at the base of the gear stick
Sunglasses holder in the roof
New front Tyres (Avon ZV5)
Oil + filter change
New air filter
New pollen filter
Removed panel behind front grill to let more air into the intake
Fixed the limp home mode problem by cutting off the split end of the vacum hose
Clear side repeaters (well, when they turn up!)
Washed regularly
Best bit so far...... Driven it!!

Lots more I want to do over time
Idea's I've had so far are:
Dark headlights (have some Carbon covers coming from Woody soon)
Rear side window and rear window tint
SRI lip spoiler
Dark style rear lights
Clear 3rd brake light
SRI front bumper
Front Foglight instal
SRI side skirts
SRI rear bumper
Exhaust tip
Get T/C switch to work
Swap CDR 2005 for CCR 2006
Swap central and side vents for facelift chrome and silver to match dash strip
Rear sidewindow blinds
Rear window roller blind
Possible de-badge
Spray door pillar and rear quarter light strip satin black
Spray interior door grabbers satin black
Spray 3 button modules on steering wheen satin black
Passenger side sunglasses holder
Silicone hose upgrade
Brake upgrade
Rear electric window upgrade

Lots to do and I keep thinking up more idea's!!

Freashly washed and yes I know, I haven't done the wheels, purposely left them for a good scrub up soon, they can stay dusty for now
She's not looking too much different, but the non orange side repeaters are now here and on and make a massive difference!
Thank goodness for quiet days at work!
Should've washed the van really I suppose, but hey, what do I like seeing clean more?!
Also, I scratched off the rubbery coating on the steering wheel controls on Saturday as it was all sctratched and looked nasty, think it works quite well in black and I'm gonna spray them at some point anyway

Little update:
Added heated washer jets the other day and did the rear light alternative set up yesterday and the airbox mod a few weeks ago
Just funding to sort before more to go on!

Added new drop links just now as a really annoying knocking started the other week and I knew it was either them or the ARB bushes
Looking at the old two side by side, I think I've just found out why the car was 'wandering' to the left even though the tracking is 100% spot onDP1.jpgdp2.jpgdp3.jpgdp4.jpgdp5.jpg

Quick update from the drop links on
Had to replace the passenger side drop link after two week, due to a duff part from GSF (not the first time!) du to it notightening properly and jumping on the thread
Since then I spent 7 hours colour restoring and waxing with a clay bar at the end, looked amazing for 2 days until raining motorways covered it all over!
Added a CARk112 on Tuesday this week so now have hands free all up and running too!
Have a silver effect centre vent ready to go in, just waiting on the two side vents and rear ashtray (missing since I picked the car up in Jan) to arrive from Seb, then all done, for now!
Next month I'm thinking of a new airfilter
Is Pipecross or K&N the way to go?

So the last bank holiday we had a few weeks back, I decided to detail the car.
So, started like this....

Don't think it came out too bad for a first time using clay!
Some more scratches still to get rid of and the damn swirls are still there, albeit a lot better than they were!

Nice example you have there. It's good to see somebody being proud of a 'lowly 2.0DTI'. I like these (and a 2.2 DTI) engines but a lot of people turn their noses up at them.

Last year I had a 2.0DTI LS for a few weeks, that I had bought with a dead injection pump and repaired for onward sale. Not the quickest vectra around but perfectly adequate and very economical.
