Can't help here, I have the Vauxhall 12S and 12N electrics and both work OK.

Have you plugged in the black box?

It should have come with the big black control module.. a plug in box that fits into the rear fuse panel...that controls the functions of the towbar..

if it wasn't in the kit, you'll need to get back on to the dealers as it's supplied in the box with the loom and the sockets..

If it is any use I had a witter towbar and single electrics fitted by one of their authorised engineers and the first time I used it - DEAD! Checked it all out with the lighting board on wife's car and it worked perfectly. Back on the VX - nothing.

Finally worked out that there are 6 wires leading from the lighting board that are used and one (the white one I think) that isn't. If all 7 are not connected up then presumably tech 2 decides that there ain't anything there.....

I'm not an electrician and I have paws instead of hands so please be gentle if you disagree with the above, though all constructive comments are welcome
