    Default Query on car description

    Hiya folks,
I recently traded in my 55 plate 1.9 SRi CDTi for a 06 plate 3.0 CDTi Elite however the V5 registration has just come through and the car is described as a Vectra SRi Nav Dualfuel ?
Could someone who has the same car ( 3.0 CDTi Elite) please advise me what description is on there V5 log book.

sounds like it has been reg'd wrong with the dvla. Ask the dealer you bought it from, or call vx monday and ask them to give the model of the car with your reg no. It may just be a mistake, wouldn't worry just yet

When I bought my Signum 1.9Cdti Elite in August from my local Vx dealers (through Network Q) the reg docs showed it to be a Vectra 1.9Cdti. Apparently (so I was told) quite a few mistakes like this are made when Vx register new cars i.e. the ones that go on fleet management.

The dealers sent the V5 back to Vx who returned it to DVLA with a covering letter and within a couple of weeks I had a new, correct V5.

As long as the dealers can confirm your motor IS the model etc that you contracted to buy from them - and the car itself has the spec that it should have, I would imagine its just a clerical error which can be rectified by giving the V5 to them and letting them sort out getting a correct V5 for you.

If they can't confirm it is the model you contracted to buy - or it doesn't seem to have the spec that the model should have, then thats a different matter, one which a visit to them ASAP would be needed, with a very different topic of conversation being needed to sort their mess out.

I would checked the tax disc, as the tax could be less, and incorrect!
Then check the online renewal facility...

Looks like the previous owner was on the fiddle-diddle

As mentioned in my previous post, the Vx dealers I bought the car from contacted Vx who sorted it out and I received a new, correct V5 within a few weeks.

When I input my motor details into the 2 websites mentioned above to check car details, the www.247spares.co.uk/vauxhall site still shows my motor on the incorrect vehicle (i.e. a Vectra), so I wonder how often they have their info updated from anyone, as mine was sorted out 4 or 5 months ago. The DVLA site however, does show the correct details.
