Don't confuse petrols and diesel Merikiito, they require completely different cooling as the boost levels as significantly higher in the diesels. An intercooler advertised as good to 400bhp in reality would not be capable of that on a diesel, you always need more with the diesels.

A FMIC would help slightly with performance but on a standard turbo you'd be looking at single figure power gains for a FMIC.

I was just trying to say it wasn't worth is unless you were running a hybrid

I think I was running 28 psi (could that be right?) and petrols do not get anywhere near that

Very happy with my map indeed,no issues to date and I do drive spirited at times. As a whole I wanted the remap for brag ginger rights and to prove everyone wrong about the 8v diesel being a rubbish choice. I think little teapot has proven that with his remap very very pleased, and never fails to put a smile on my face.i very rarely rev the engine about 2,500rpm due to not needing to, that is sufficient enough to get me up to speed quickly and easily due to the increase in torque. There are no noises from the gearbox to date and no indication of there being any noise. That being said I have drained the gearbox and refilled with new oil about a year ago.

Would this work and is there anything else I could do to increase power output?
I would buy a 150, there much better ive owned both 120 and 150. 16valve too. I will be selling one very soon if ure interested.

My 120 is remapped and has been for quite a few miles now. No issues at all...
The failures of M32 gearboxes often seem to be unrelated to the engine torque, I believe one of the bearings in particular pretty well fails of it's own accord. A gearbox may have a continuous torque rating but it also has to have some headroom in order to survive transients that will exceed that rating. @littleteapot is well aware how much torque mine is making but is also obviously fully aware that I am very elderly and only use my Vectra to take my elderly wife to Bingo once a week.
The car does about 20,000 miles a year (Bingo hall is miles away). I don't do traffic light drags with it or bang it through the gears but I do use all of the power. DMF was replaced at 95,000 miles, don't know if gearbox is original, car now has over 140,000 miles on it. I think you need to just bear in mind the gearbox might be weak and get on with enjoying it, drive it with a little sympathy.

The 120 is a good choice, i wont allow anyone to knock it! Shb1988's 120 produced over 180bhp on a recent rolling road day, surpassing some of the remapped 150s that also attended.

Send a PM to @Teapot. His location is in his profile. Your profile shows you having a DTI is that still correct?
