Default Insignia Queries (And Potential Niggles)

    Afternoon All,

Having had my trusty old Vectra declared a total loss after the engine ingested water I have bought myself a 2010 2.0 CDTI (160) Insignia Elite Nav.

Loving the car but I have a few questions before I start moaning at the dealer:

1.) I have auto-dimming mirrors fitted; should the passenger wing mirror dim along with the driver's side and rear view mirrors?

2.) The heated seats will only run for about 30 seconds before switching themselves off and even then don't get noticably hot (I can hear the relay clicking when I press the switch); I'm assuming there's a fault somewhere that's causing this?

3.) Not so much a niggle but is it possible to have the mirrors fold in when locking the car from the remote?

    Cheers!

    Dan

    Hi Dan

1.) only the drivers side and rear view dims NOT the passenger side
2.) There is a recall for this, speak to your dealer - this is a known fault
3.) Press the fob twice and keep pressed in, this should then fold the mirrors, if you have this option fitted - also check in the "config" menu

    HTH

Fantastic! Thank you for clarifying that for me.

One more query; I'm having a few issues with the installed bluetooth and my nexus 4...

I can pair the handset to the car successfully and route the audio through the car speakers however if I try to make a call through the car system I get a dialling failed message. Also my phone book and call lists appear empty.

I have tried to pair my phone using the SIM access option but I either get an incorrect pass code error on the phone or a Bluetooth busy error on the car.

This is proving to be a major issue as I'm on the road a fair bit, if anyone could help I would be eternally grateful!

    Cheers

    Dan

No problems mate, glad I could have helped.

Sorry but I can't help you with the Bluetooth problem you're having, but I'm sure other members will be along who can help.

    Vx bluetooth is a pain
What to try worked for me is to back up your phone/ then do a factory reset of the phone/ then restore all your data etc back to the phone /then pair with bluetooth in the car should work then
