    Default Drivers seat lumbar support

My new vectra is giving me a bad back... Is it just me or is the lumbar support far too high up? I had a Vectra B before this and the support was much lower down and more supportive...

Anyone else getting back trouble from their car? any quick solutions?

I also think it's too high up. You turn the lever to add more support, and it pushes you higher up in the back than you want. Maybe they've designed it for very tall people!! I'm 5' 7" but even somebody 2-3 inches taller I think it's still going to push on them much higher up than the lumbar region.

I've not had a back problem since moving to the C (but I did with my B due to the driving position), but I did initially have a continual pain in my right thigh after driving the C for more than 20mins or so - but that seems to have stopped now (perhaps I'm now 'C' shaped?

    I'm 6ft and I don't have a problem with the lumbar support.

I have that exact problem Duncan and I'm 5'11. I'm thinking of taking the seat apart and putting some foam inside to support the bottom of my back better.

I've also had JuzzyDs pain in the thigh before, I think it's caused by the position I put my foot in when on the motorway and using the cruise control.

It must be designed for tall people. I'm 6'2" and I find the seat very comfortable, and the lumbar is just in the right place!

Must admit I'm a 6-footer and find the lumbar support is in the right place, however I do suffer from the *aching right thigh* after a long drive!

So the general pattern seems to be.... if you're over 6" the lumbar support is fine but you get an aching right leg! If you're under 6" the lumbar support is too high but no aching right leg. I wonder if you're exactly 6" if it's all perfect then?!

I'm 6` 4" and find the lumbar support in the right place but get a VERY achey right thigh on a long drive so I think your theories so far are right! I don't know about anyone else, but I find if I get the legs comfy I can't reach the pedals or wheel, but if I get the arms comfy my legs are up at angles as if I was driving a go kart!

After going from a Vectra B where the lumbar support options were "off" and "something sticking in your back" though I think this seat isn't bad.

I do find though the number of options on how it moves makes me constantly 'tweaking' the various tilts, ups, down etc. in search of a slightly more comfy position.

And oddly, I think you need to have the seat in a position where you can really push the clutch in. I found if you're leg's almost straight and the clutch isn't absolutely 100% in, the gears are notchy!

    Am I just fussy?
