Was this around the same time when the Vectra VXR was better than all other models regardless of what power you had or which part you were talking about because only 1001 were made and it's a 'VXR'?

"VXR" - that name rings a bell. Wasn't it what people nicknamed their petrol Veccies when they wanted to emulate the factory-made VXD?
