steering wheel change

can anybody tell me how to change the steering wheel of an 06 vectra?
do you just disconnect the battery remove the airbag then remove the wheel?
do you have to get the airbag warning light reset using tech 2?

on the understanding that what you are about to do is VERY dangerous and should only be attempted if you are fully aware of the consequenses..

remove the battery leads..leave the car like this for 1/2 hr.. this will let the airbag firing capacitors power down..

undo the screws in the back of the steering wheel that hold the module on and disconnect the wiring as you withdraw the module....now put it somewhere safe and treat it as an 'unexploded bomb' as thats what it is...

now you can remove the wheel's securing nut and change..

replacement is the reverse..and you won't need to get the airbag light reset unless there is a problem with any of the connections ( unlikely)..
