i have had a horrible smell in the washers before, i found out throught the forum that it was probably the actual screen wash fluid . some of the cheaper stuff can "go off" and stink when sprayed

Or if you mix different types as well, they may go off, and even block the pipes ... dismantle and clean it out should sort you ...

If it were me I would stick some neat solution in there, no water, that could break down whatever bad stuff is in there - and it'll smell ultra clean through your vents.

I had this problem on my last vec somebody had been mixing the washer fluid chemicals.
Just drop some strerident tablets in your bottle, leave them to fizz away for a few minutes then empty the bottle and rinse out the remaining foam. ( I used the washer pump to empty my bottle ) I just removed the pipe where it connects to the bonnet and pumped the water straight onto the road.
Refill and the problem should be gone.

I just mean that you can buy ready mixed, or neat. The neat stuff on it's own will be very strong solution, so should perhaps clear your pipes. During the summer months when I used to be permanently on the road i used neat anyway so's to get rid of the bugs.
