What my new rims could have wheely cost!

Following on from this thread, I was talking to my dealer's parts dept. today about a couple of things. Being curious, I asked what one of these wheels that I'd just bought retails at...

18" x 7.5J


I had a rough idea in my head of what it might be, based on what my 17s cost each new, but I wasn't prepared for what they told me. I should have been sat down when he said!!

Each wheel retails from Vx at £278 + VAT = £326.65 - a full set being £1306.60!!!! - and that's before you put any rubber on!! That's Irmscher prices!!

All I can say is that I'm very, very happy with what I paid for them - especially as they are brand new with brand new rubber.

Same here, i got a set of the same wheels from ebay on sunday night followed by getting a set of tyres of muffking on here which i picked up today from him, looking at the prices you have said i have got them for about a 3rd of the price.
