    Year : 2007

Default comfort unit, what do i need?

atm, i have a pioneer double din in the dash which i like partly due to the bluetooth compatability, now i have heard about this comfort unit and i am very interested mainly for the dpf features

what i need to know tho is besides the comfort unit itself what else would i need in order to still have bluetooth compatability as well as everything the unit can do? i guess i need a vauxhall head unit and display again as i have only the basic screen with the date etc on it.

i already have a raspberry pi too that isnt getting used atm so it sounds ideal unless i need a million new things to get it working?

Its a great bit of kit and thoroughly recommend it especially if you have a DPF. If you haven't read the posts then, http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...y-this-first-o)
Yes, I believe you will need the original hu - CD70, not sure if i will work with an aftermarket hu. Assuming you still have the CID, you maybe able to access the cu feature via the steering wheel controls.

The basic comfort unit simply plugs into the OBD port in your car. The features offered by it are displayed on a compatable display.
There is a full "feature length thread" already which makes for useful reading - here - http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...y-this-first-o)
So it's probably the best place to "start" and post

thanks guys, i did read that thread earlier, if i need to add in the cost of a cd70 or similar it starts to get really expensive.

probably cheaper to get the dpf removed in the long term lol

    Thanks Woody
Been there many times, but Im unsure what to expect with just the normal monochrome screen and not the coloured one.
Im thinking of buying a new 2 din HU with camera, AUX and all that, so Im just curios to see what I get out of the comfort unit if I buy it, and not all the other things

You will get all the features described in the PDF which you can download there, including the parking sensor display for OEM ParkPilot and the rest of the stuff.

Try having a look at the youtube videos and just ignore the reversing camera / media player stuff which is all video related and not something the basic Comfort Unit deals with by itself, everything else will be available to you with just a CU.

for 290 quid i would rather spend the money on something worth while like a bigger turbo or bigger injectors

sorry but these comfort units are just way too pricey for what they are tbf they do give some good info on certain things but if you want the full set up its just way over priced
