    Default Wheel Bearing with VX?

Hi guys just noticed my front wheel is making a wine noise, so jacked it up and there a tiny bit of play in the front wheel so sounds like bearing on its way out, how much would VX charge to replace the bearing?

it's just over a ton to buy.. add about 2.5 hrs to change...and you end up around 270 quid..

You have to buy the whole rear hub if I remember correctly, around £60 ea on e-bay.

indeed, the bearings are now sealed hub units..and they are roughly the same price..if you buy from VX they're £100 each..

hard.. no.. just wd40 the heck out of the mounting bolts 1st..it's actually easier to do than the old style of bearings that needed pressing in..don't forget to disconnect the ABS lead that comes out of the hub..and don't damage the new one, or it'll be another new hub unit..the ring of fixing bolts need torqueing up to 100nm, the main hub nut is 150nm, then release by 45 degrees, then tighten to 250nm..in other words F###ing tight..
