    Default whining/ticking in the ICE install!!

    hi there! this is my first time owning a vectra c and now i have fitted my ice into it i'm picking up bad singnals of whining and ticking through the amps! as anyone else have this prob through a vec-C????

    Sounds like you'll maybe need a supressor fitted to your live feed .

    i've heard lots about suppressor but which one as i've now found theres many types around! you say on live feed, where does that go?

    I'm not to sure but at a guess i'd say on the power live feed into your amps it'll either be there or on the back of your stereo on existing wiring, you'd maybe be better talking to an auto electrician for some free advice.As these are the only 2 points the power is going in.

    are the amps eathed at the same place
    and where

    list what you have in the car to and where its fitted

    many electrical minded peolpe have had a listen and it is puzzleing them as that noise isn't normaly connected thro live feeds! i'm under going many tests to rule things out, just wondered if anyone has had simular probs?
    but as always, probley just me again!LOL

    are the power leads and rca leads run down the same side of the car

    i have 4 earths and in two diff points in floor of boot! live leads one side of car and remote and rca's the other! i have had diff rca running over seats to rule them out from interferience but no difference! 0 gauge and 4 gauge running passanger side with left speakers but people say noise is to much for speaker wires to pulse thro! earth is my next job to rule out when i try under rear seat belt points!

    usually if the power and rca leads are close it can cause interferance but if its not that try changing the rca leads the other way round going into the amp

    Check all your ground points first. Then look at getting a suppressor.
    Make sure that there is no paint under your ground points also.

    Are you running high outputs from the head unit or RCA?
