Claims to fame

After reading through some of the experiences that our members have had on MLC's thread about 'best rides', I thought It would be interesying to find out what sort of claims to fame people have had. So I'll start off: I was in Blackadder Goes Forth. The regiment I was attached to at the time (3rd btn Royal Anglian Regiment) did the credits at the beginning and end. Rowan Atkinson is a right grumpy t**t.

similar aviation theme - slightly embarrassing - standing next to John Nicholls?? (Tornado crew who got shot down in GW1 and now a 'writer' and journalist) in the gents at the Officers Club at RAF Mildenhall on an airshow weekend!

most of you probably wont know him, but i beat jim platt in a penalty shootout out the front of my house when i was a kid, (jim platt was boro keeper in 80's and i think he may have been pat jennings standby for ireland - but not sure). his sister lived next door to us!!

when i was younger chris lewis the cricket alrounder was my next door neighbour before he became famous and played for england.i usedto play cricket in the street with him.........

My only claim to fame is.... hahaha... don't laugh... I met Phillip Scofield when I was a kid while he was doing Radio1 roadshow in Cornwall

.... I know, I know... keep an orderly queue - don't push, you can all touch my arm one at a time!!

I Played School Rugby With .. Martin Johnson And Graham Roundtree In The U14's And U16's.. At.. Area .. County And East Midlands Level ( I Played Loose Head Prop , Which Is Grahams Position Now )

ONLY HAD TO GET THROUGH 1 MORE LEVEL to progress into the national side , but i messed up when playing the west midlands , which also was the midland trials ...

And when training for my truck pull in '93 martin and graham were sitting on the equipment because i had ran out of weights

leg press was 660 kilos

My mates sister is Gina G (as in Ooh aah just a little bit............)
And I have had poetry published.

And of course I am married to Drinky!!!

Met numerous footballers due to connections with my old job, Sir Alex Ferguson, David Beckham, etc. (I used to service the catering equipment in Old Trafford and Carrington training ground.)
Mark Hughes (Blackburn manager) used to be a very good friend, went to same school, played together as kids, Dads still play golf together.......
