Default Any1 Seen these on an sri before?

I bought a facelift vectra SRi Bumper off a smashed up EX-POLICE car which was a 2.8Turbo same as VXR engine, but i noticed that the foglight surrounds had factory cut outs in them like a type of air vent , VX told me they think they were to do with cooling something on the VXR engine the part numbers are: 13182924 and 13182925

They just look like the normal facelift inserts that surround the fogs mate, given, if you take away the foglamp it leaves a neat little intake

I suspect it will be to aid brake cooling. When we used to have escort cossys in Northumbria police I have seen the discs glowing bright orange after a good chase lol

no mate the strobes where behind the grille, they are from the factory cut out, i think i would agree with gary about cooling the brakes as the car did have a vxr engine

No straight up, I reckon it is for brake cooling, there will probably have been ducting behind that to direct airflow towards the disc/caliper. If you think about it, when you look at the front end, them grilles/fog surrounds are right in front of the brakes.
