    Default Windscreen replaced

Just had my windscreen replaced this afternoon after a crack appeared last night. Since i picked it back up, there is a creaking/cracking noise coming from around the windscreen. Is this normal (ie: just the adhesive setting), or do I need to take it back tomorrow?

i'd take it back and ask them to fix it in more solidly.. perhaps they've skimped on the amount of bonding they've put on.. when mine was changed it was, and still is, rock solid....but i stood over the guy..

insist on a VX screen due to the age of the car, and then make the lad a cup of tea, and watch him like a hawk.....

the only other comment i'd make is make sure the car is completely level when the do the job..even in your garage at home T..and give the bonding ages over their time to really go off before driving it..

just leave it still for as long as you can steve..it really needs to set firm before you drive it..make sure he's cleaned all the old sealant off the screen rim..and make sure he's generous with the bead he puts on the new screen..

yep, they'll take off the screen trims when they do it...they do snap easily , so get him in your works so you and the others can keep an eye on him.
