    Default Vacuum solenoid valve

Does anyone know where the Vacuum solenoid valve is situated on the 2.2dti. a mate at work has one and it is showing a fault code for it having a too high voltage, when the ecu light comes on the car goes into limp mode, the fault is a bit intermitent, but changeing the valve will eliminate the fault I think.

hey Ed, I have this problem on my 2.2dti too. but on my Veccy B. AFAIK its on the right hand side of the engine. You'll be able to see the vacuum hoses coming off of it. Gonna consult Haynes about it or wait for Mark to pipe up about it lol.

Cant see anything about a solenoid valve though Ed,

    Default

if it's the last one..it's under the front acoustic sheild..at about 2 oclock to the oil filter...

if it's the intake plenubm switchover valve, it's on the front slam panel, by the clamp for the bonnet pull cable..

if it's the vacumn control valve then it's..attached to the side of the battery box. look at the lower part of the cutout in the lower battery box and you'll see it with 2 vacumn lines and an electrical plug

I have asked my mate for the code but he can not remember it, but I will pass on the information to him. Cheers Mark.
