Suspension (down?)upgrade

Been looking through Spoons old VXRD threads and noticed he orginally had lowering springs fitted at 888. Was wondering if anyone knew if they can do the same for a common all garden pre facelift 1.8 sxi or is it beneath them?. Also is the price about the same?
