    sorry i know duncan, the point i was trying to make is not the fuel, but where you get it from. i would never get fuel from a supermarket just to save a couple of pennies a litre

    Right, see what you're saying.

    I agree, I stopped buying normal supermarket unleaded a long time ago, but I do buy the Tesco 99RON currently as it runs nicely in my remapped car.

    It's still unclear as to what exactly the problem is with the fuel at the moment (could have been some contamination that could've happened to any supplier) so probably not really enough to say carte blanche not to buy supermarket fuel.

    Said elsewhere, mine doesn't like Sainsburys diesel that comes out of the BP tanker, but loves it from the BP garage. Put Ultimate in it and it becomes the car equivalent of a Tasmaninan Devil!

    Apart from the spinning, burping, farting and yelling that is. That's my job.
