Default M20 and surrounding area this morning

Did anyone else run into problems this morning? There was a fatal accident last night, about 2am, involving a lorry and several cars. The investigation and clear up operation went on until about 10.30 this morning. All the roads leading out of Kent and towards London were gridlocked.

It took me 3 1/2 hours to get from work (in Aylesford) to Croyden (normally 45 mins max). Anyone else have trouble today?

It took me 1hr 45mins to travel the 5 miles to work from Sandling to Aylesford. Sounds like a nasty one as heard they were still cutting someone out at 5am some four hours after the initial accident.

I didn't have to leave home until 13:00 today so I missed it. The Police thanks all drivers stuck in it though.

I got stuck in the A2/M25 Jams on Satuday. Took 3 hours to do a 30 min journey, when a lorry shed it's load across 3 lanes and the exit slip to M25 in the roadworks. It was so bad even bikes couldn't get though. Turned into an imprompute meet, which was nice.

I didn't get too stressed over it as I fully understand they need to do a thourough investigation. I phoned my first few customers and explained the situation and they were good as gold. Also meant a little overtime as I was late back.

The accident on the A2 / M25 on Saturday was a lorry with reels of paper right? I know the haulier involved based over at Chatham. A lady rushing to get to Bluewater was the cause. She cut in front of the lorry where the road narrows due to the roadworks and then slammed on her brakes, hit another car and cause the lorry to have to harsh brake, causing the load to shift. She admitted it was her fault as she was in a rush to get the item changed so she could wear it out that night
