    Default Removing wiper arms?

    I cannot cannot the wiper arm off on the passenger side?

    any ideas. I need to get them off to get at the motor, cos the motor is knackered.

    Take the bolt and washer off the arm and spray wd40 or something down the hole and let it soak in. Get yourself a piece of wood/block and a small crowbar and whilst pushing against the arm with the other hand hold the wiper arm and both it up and down and it will come free. Best of luck

    Its took 2 mins both sides, i know it look's like you are about to beat the car up but it does work.

    that looks a tad brutal , just lift them and give em a wiggle , the bits my wiper arms bolt to have gone rusty , kwolity ...... not !

    either that or a small gear puller/ battery terminal puller.. gets them off every time..

    Looks chaps, you dont actually lean your hole body weight on the crowbar you just with one hand gently push and with the other hand hold the wiper arm and wigle it and pull.

    dangerous as the shaft is soft.. you risk turning down the 1st few threads on the splined shaft..it's better to tap the side of the arm if you want to hit anything.. always best to pull it off the splines..

    err ! you lot worry me sometimes ! did a linkage yesterday with the same prob ! put the nut back on till flush then tapped it with a hammer ! no damage caused!!
