    Default clutch pedal spring

i finally got a clutch pedal spring for the vec and ive been having a look at the one thats currently fitted

ive tried fiddling with the little white thing that appears to be holding the thing in place but cant seem to budge it, although i didnt fiddle too hard incase i broke something as ive got to goto work tomorrrow..

has anyone changed this part? can anyone advise me how to change the part please?

    many thanks

Guys, I think I’m right in thinking that the pedal spring which is about an inch in diameter and coiled around the pedal box shaft is a separate part to the switch. Although the switch is spring loaded it is only to make the switch return to rest position not the pedal . If the pedal is not returning via its spring the spring in the switch will not return as it is not strong enough to move the pedal up.

right ive just been for another look under the pedals, i havent removed any interior parts. The spring has no electrical connections on or near it so it must be a different part. it actually looks just like a small shock absorber about 80mm long with black sleeve over the spring, looks like theres a small white clip that holds it in place. im guessing that you squeeze the clip togerther to get it out?
