    Changed gearbox oil today.
    Never done it before.
This funnel from Wilko (£3) was perfect for filling:

I ordered the Millers, but it won't now come until Monday.
So got some from Vauxhall, plus some moly slip.
It's improved it, but still grinding a bit on 6th gear, so I'll get it looked at.

No problem with insulation, as there isn't any!!! In fact I have a Saab battery box???
Got a proper one on order as it's a bit battered, and it's always bugged me.

Well, last night I read the bonnet release cable threads (well a good few) panicked and popped in to my mechanic to ask how to adjust it (I'm a coward). He said 'Just pop your bonnet, Steve...." I should have read the threads LAST time I opened the bonnet. What will I do to my Vectra tomorrow? Try to open the bonnet, sort the cable when I have and pay me £10 membership and read the How To bit. Is there one for how not to be a total gonk? I might start one..........

Been updating a set of 2.8t maps so the modified off sports is better than i thought it already was even though before it was a massive improvement over anything before.
Even though most of the work had been done last year and was very very good when we (Teapot & me) did @Angel1368 255 vxr i had gained more experience altering the pedal maps to make it less powerful off sports with a very smooth power delivery so spent more time on Leon's quite possibly perfecting it more.
As mentioned before this was because after some tuition from the master it was easier for me to alter power availability load it on my car and see what happened as i could adjust it quickly afterwards rather than email maps back and fourth.

Did mine a few weeks back and it got rid of a little spiking of the revs at low speeds and manoeuvring which i had noticed for a while but i bet the others with this mapping hadn't as it was so good compared to what they might have had previously.

Its not complicated really its just graphs.
You can see the peak which is a higher number than what should be the highest point further back in the map so its just a matter of making the higher figures the same as what they should be then smoothing down all the edges on the ramp going down. Result is a silk smooth power transition as the pedal is applied, not that is was bad before its just been perfected.

This map is the software version for @Brady 's ecu which afaik no other 2.8t owners have it yet.
