The only thing I've ever bought from the Stealers, was the missing car pass code - that was a rip off, but there is no choice on that one. The alternative, was for VX to replace my old Radio/mp3 with a new one for £500+.
I used a SH one off ebay, did the laptop divorce & marriage myself + opcom! & it still only cost me total about £70.

Places to avoid, when it comes to Veccy's - Main dealers & Euro car parts. The first, you get the correct part at a rip off price, the second - you get a poor quality part at a still quite expensive price.
So, in the main - I get most bits & bobs from Ebay "Genuine parts" where possible on critical components though. I had a genuine stat & housing for about £120 total.
If your in a hurry, local motor factors are usually a better bet.
I recently had a coil pack fail, Purchased an Ebay one for £40 with a 2 year warranty, it works fine. I wonder what the Official VX price is for one of them? Euro parts were £90 upwards....

Depends on the engine, know the coils for my vxr are around 150 from the stealers, 90 quid from autovaux before any discount.

Z28 coils from the stealers are around the 200 quid mark each, and there's 6 separate coils, can get new Bosch units for 40 quid it named units for 20.
