It would have been funny if the guy had said, 'hold on what are these girl brakes doing on the front, get some proper 6 pots on asap' and any other VXR ridiculing statements

Not to sure about the comment on the UCA that he said wrongly and didn't point out which bush was the issue, well Ive found out now and its the outer so now in the process of formulating a plan. Either plain replacement arm or powerflex both ends along with trailing arm bushes

****** amateurs!! The stuff people do wrong to there cars
As you know I swapped my astra for a vectra 1.9 and it was slammed on its arse all round on jom coil-overs but didnt feel right going round bends and pulling out of junctions and roundabouts,as i could feel the front wobbling, the rear jom shocks and spring adjusters are in the boot so plan on putting them on tomorrow but the worst bit is that the front coil-overs were wound down to the very bottom both side and drop links completely cut off, both driveshaft were at a bad angle and both cv boots split!! So i wound the rings on until the springs were supported (just over quarter up) which has straightened the shafts to an except able level so im just about to order some 2nd hand driveshafts as there still clicking and adjustable drop links, are all vectra driveshafts the same

Yeah no they aren't... they are the same on the cars with the same gearbox... so you need to check the type of gearbox or just buy them of your registration number.

Not exactly true as it depends on the engine as well.

Nope not engine gearbox... it's a given that certain engines do not have certain gearboxes but the driveshafts are gearbox orientated not engine...

So what are you on about?

I know early vectras have the m32 but mines got f40,I wasn’t to sure if they are different with engine sizes,i know on a Zafira b theres 3 different hub splines depending on engine size even though they share the same gearbox

Yeah hub splines and gearbox orientated not engine although that is the reason for stronger driveshafts...

So you already had your answer... that is why I said either use your registration to get the right driveshafts or the cars vin number... but it is save to say if you get them for the same model car with the same engine and gearbox you won't have a problem.

I just cant believe how the guy ruined the handling just for looks,I actually found pictures of the car before the guy got it and im going to try turn it back by getting the suspension sorted,4 wheel alignment at my work once i go back as ive just had a hernia surgery also sorting the wheels

Yeah that is kinda extreme does look good though.... but if you want the car that low... there is only one proper solution... airsuspension
