It's the same with the Dutch... the reason why I am the way I am is because I will change loads... rather not buy a car that is more expensive and costs me the same to do stuff to... leaves me with less money to spend in the end... nothing tight about that... just common sense

Some thing i've been meaning to take a photo of but never got around to it till today as i still have No1 vectra on axel stands. I've done this mod to all three of our vectras . My reason for doing this is it's covering the handbrake cable where it go's into the rear caliper and it also covers the outer banana arm bush . This now keeps all the carp off them. The rubber is butyl pond liner as it will not rot.002.jpg001.jpg

You must have missed it, https://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showt...=1#post2498161

Ignore the friction reduction its fine even while bedding in, i lost it but years after speccing this for brakes i did find an article by GM or Chrysler how they used this process for some car with a big engine etc etc as it stopped them from warping. My place charges me £30, you might have seen @MCD 's recent posts with the 345 brakes well they are my old ones from what 4+ years ago and as you might have seen the discs i had machined and treated still look like new with no corrosion on them. The process goes into the parent material around .002 mm so that's why its better than any namby pamby surface coatings like paint or zinc passivate which all rust in time.
