Fitted a new battery, cold weather taking its toll on the old, one no green ball any more, as I have had the car 10 years and its an original GM battery so it could be 15 years old I thought it was time to treat the old girl
As usual, not a vectra, but bought the bixenons lights for the Astra, hopefully get them fitted when I get rid of this dam covid

Fitted 2 new pinch bolts since one snapped last Saturday, removed front pads and used a @ST200 patented idea to re-refinish the pad surfaces as one side after bedding in sounded odd under braking. I don't think my first manual surface clean up did very well. Will try the gentle method this time and see how it goes, the 80 grit emery which incidentally wore out quite quickly did a great job with the sander to bring the pads surface up like new. Glad these brakes are super easy to work on. Oh and refitted the AFL's for some D1S lamp test and blew a main beam lamp so the job goes on and the front bumper will be dropped for about the 7th time this year already.

Do they make much noise when under load ??? Put drilled, grooved on blacky and they definitely noisy under load.
And what you trying to do now with afl’s if you just want to trash them give them to me you know I will.
How can i load them up when i wrote im bedding them in gently this time? Thanks but im not new to performance brakes on cars and motorbikes so i have an idea on what to expect hence avoiding slotted discs, if there were any issues i couldn't solve or understand i would post here https://www.vectra-c.com/forum/forum...ng-amp-Braking after consulting AP's website, calling them, and speaking to mates in the know with car race brakes like these.
