Fixing/perhaps bodging the rear demister on my estate this afternoon.

When the glass was re-tinted the tinter knocked one of the tabs off for the heater element on the rear window. In this weather I cant see **** all out of the back window.

washed the road muck off the car, cleaned the wheels properly including washing some frozen bird doodoo off first... my car at best is dirty for a day i left it for a whole week, partly because of the weather and because i simply couldn't be arsed... it looks a lot better now.

put the NS rear shock absorber bush back into it's housing that is part of the rear shock absorber... it worked itself free, how it managed to do that is a mystery as both the shock and the bush are in very good condition (that's why I put it back were it is supposed to be) and so is the rest of the rear suspension not a perished bush in sight.

Well I received my tailored mats to replace the generic rubber things that came with the car, very surprised on how well they fit and line up perfectly with the tabs in the floor. No more shoe getting caught on the mat when I disengage the clutch. Looks so much better. Not bad for £12 including postage.

Topped up screen wash, checked oil etc and replaced the diverter valve since like so many parts its now 16 years old and checked the boost hose under for tightness. Will see if boosts a little harder when I go for a drive.
As usual didnt need any oil

it's a wonder you haven't put on a metal skid plate or made your own completely flat floor under the car yet..it'll account for better aero dynamics... something that you would benefit from, more planted car to drive around at high speeds. while still looking completely stock.
