It's been a very long week, weeks i should say.
Did a oil change as it was due. Then i found a broken tie rod end boot with a huge hole in it. Tried to get it out but it refused to budge, then heat and hammered the crap out of it untill i flowered some of the threads, then heat and penetrant... Then i waited a week or so to get my hand on a ball puller. Didn't budge either but it broke the tool so instead of driving to a garage i got mad as hell and started to get everything out untill i got the knuckle out to hit the tie rod end with a 2kg hammer and in case that wasn't enough i had nearby a 5 kg one, just in case. Worst case scenario new old used knuckle but i got lucky. What i also found was a hole at the inner cv joint boot, luckly i still had one of the old shafts so i just replaced the whole shaft as it was on the right side and i didn't have to drain the gearbox oil. All in all i am still mad because trw tie rod ends barely lasted 2 years. This time i replaced them with meyle outer rods and meyle hd inner ones. I just hope it will last more than 2 years. Also fixed the armrest that a plastic piece broken.

Not much has happened but here it is.Wheel alignment; new tires michelin crossclimate as the old one were showing aging and about 1-2mm away from the marker; new wipers bosch; new varta battery as the old one was barely holding on and barely charge; tried to use some LED lamps instead of xenon, it was fun for about a month untill the case broke under the pressure of the metal bar thingie; passenger side turn signal cable terminal broke so it was interesting to fit again and actually make contact

Well seeing as the old girl is still alive and kicking, I've been happily running round with my winter wheels / snow tyres on whilst the neighbours ( and my new Audi ) are stranded
