Fitted a Fakra GPS antenna today, easy to do . I took the plastic plug off the antenna which enabled me to thread it through a gap next to the dash speaker and in between the air vent ducts. I was pleasantly surprised to see it actually works given the fact it cost under £5 from ebay.

Took about 30 mins which included taking the head unit and dash screen/ vents out. Did it in supermarket car park while the enemy was shopping for tat

    Default Gauge mount

This is not todays work but printed a vent inlay to mount my boost gauge. I don't like all that gauge pod stands pinned to dashboard or a pillar.

It's the latest version with angled surface, with a flat one there had been some reflections in the outer mirror/window which drove me crazy.

I’m sure there’s a market for these! I’d buy one if you start selling them...?

    Hi Paul,

this is the version for the FL vents. The printed part must be glued in the vent from the backside. The 4 additional holes are for not blocking the vent at all, so a small amount of air is still covering the side window.
It's customized for the Innovate gauge by diameter and offset. Other gauges may need changed parameters to fit perfect.

I do also have a flat surface version, that can be modified, for the preFL vent that i accidently designed by a wrong spare part that was laying around.

Sure i can print some more for personal use.. if someone likes the style.

well i just went and put a moisture trap in the car... why? well not that i have any leakages but i did notice that because i don't drive the car much (covid-19 restrictions) the car always has condensation on the windows... so i thought you know what i'll just put a moisture trap in it and see if it helps... just bought some cheapo stuff from B&M 4 for the price of 3 and just put one in... come tomorrow morning i shall see how bad it is... and no i haven't had the airco on at all but i know that would actually dry the car out... i might just run the car in the morning with it on for an hour so it helps reduce the moisture... but first things first let's see how much the moisture trap actually picks up...

I've been using the cheap universal aero wipers from HomeBargians.... they cost 2.99 each and last at least a year... probably longer but they are so cheap as soon as I notice a little streak staying behind on a full sweep I just replace them...

And to be honest I can't really fault them as they work equally as well as the more expensive brands.

That makes alot sense to do that, the Bosch ones started £15-30 for fronts and the rear £10-15 for genuine ones a lot of fakes out there. This set cost me £22 all in.
