Decided to fix a board I have which was missing one led pad.

I use Kynar wire as its thin and really easy to work with. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/30AWG-Fine...ht_1035wt_1157

As you can see its just taking the feed thats broken on the led pad and joining it to the next led thats working. Just a five min fix with a soldering iron.

    Hope that helps you

I have been trialling these for the last few months and have to say they work well and nice and bright. I placed one up against the ones I normaly buy from crazyleds and there was no difference at all in colour or brightness.

No problem mate. Good luck with it. I do agree that speaker wire may be a bit thick and might hamper the rubber cover that fits over it.

yeah speaker wire will be to thick, but on the boards like in that pic with the holes in, the holes are on the conductive path way and i use a single strand of wire through it (theres usually one right next to where the pad should be) small bit of solder on the hole or on the back on the wire to hold it in then just fold it on to where the pad was and solder smd to that, on boards without the hole do it as envy has illustrated ideally with some very thin cable as in pic
