    Unhappy Water leak drivers floor

Iv'e just been away for 2 weeks, so while i was away i had to use a pressure wash on the car, after which a vacumed it.Everything was fine until 2 days later i noticed my mat around the throttle area was wet through, as was the carpet in this area. The rest of the carpet seemed dry but just to make sure i lifted the tab on the carpet and felt underneath. To my shock the foam under the carpet was soaked. I have been leaving kitchen roll on the carpet while spraying the car with water, but no water is evident.
I wonder do i have a leak or could under the carpet be soaked due to the car being valeted by the selling garage?
Please help. The last thing i need is a damp and rotting carpet............

Have a look at this thread m8. It relates to the passenger side apparently, but it could be that it's the same problem you have - just on the driver's side.

    Hello m8.

Does the water smell of antifreeze?
If so, it could be the heater matrix which has a hole in it.

I had two go in an old F-reg Astra and dumped the cooling system in the driver's footwell, made a right mess!!!

Hope it's not that for your sake!
