...but if you like heavy metal check out my band Matron. Hopefully we should be gigging soon. We sound like Iron Maiden on steroids with a hint of keyboards and dark, heavy vocals.

my missus will like this!( old rock chick at heart ).. got any better samples? sounds a bit low res on the site
You're sound is very good, I don't do grunt vocals though, but hey, I've done my hair and denim days, so it's not me you have to please, but the rest of it is very old Maidenish, which is imo the best Maiden sound, good luck and I'm sure you will get a deal at sometime soon, have you sent Maiden's manager a demo, Rod Smallwood @ Sanctuary music, might wanna consider changing the vocals, as Maiden are in their twilight yrs now, but a younger sounding band might have real kerb appeal.
I'm with VV on this one, sounds good but i would much rather have the "Air Raid Siren" kind of vocals but good...
After growing up on Iron Maiden they are approaching their twilight years but seeing them at Earls Court at Christmas they just get better and better and i think there are a very few live bands that can get near them...
Just incase you do send a demo Rod Smallwood and Maiden are no longer a part of Sanctuary music after some dodgy dealings by the senior management -Smallwood set up Phantom Music Management and this is where you will find them
First off, that's the best we've got for music at the moment but we're working on getting some better sounding versions up on our website, but it's taking time.
Secondly, the vocals. Well, I'd prefer something a little more melodic myself too, or even getting him to sing properly in a few bits, but at the end of the day the band was formed quite a while ago and I've only joined this year. There's still definitely a market for this kind of thing though.
Finally, contacts wise we're planning on bombarding as many A&R guys as possible, which is helped a fair bit by the fact that one of our guitarists spent a couple of years in Cradle of Filth (Damnation & a Day tour and Nymphetamine album), so knows a fair few people in the biz.
Get him to sing properly, even if it mean's sending him to a teacher, if you can just get him to sound somewhere near Nickleback's singer it would be an advantage, I don't think going all out for a Dickinson clone would work either, plus looking at your site your singer is good enough anyway, just needs to become more coherant.
Just added you to myspace dude
Oh, cheers Neil, you didn't have T
